Members of the North West Langley Fire Department posing for a Langley Advance photo in their new fire truck. From left to right: (Hat #1) assistant fire chief John Floberg, (hat #9) Jim Hill, (hat #7) George Burdett, and (hat #8) G. M. Hanson. The new machine was checked out by way of a series of underwritier's association tests, taking up about four hours, at the Port Kells wharf on the Fraser River. The 23-ton fire truck had a carrying capacity of 500 gallons of water and was purchased without a cab in order to save both weight and money.
