Pincushion ; fabric and bead. This is a brown pincushion shaped like a bird holding two cherries in its beak. The bird is covered with white beads. The backside of the tail has the year "1901" beaded into it. There is a chain made from beads that loops across the top of the bird, most likely to hang it. The bird is sitting on a red perch that suspends down when the cushion is hung. This pincushion was made as a souvenir during the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York by " Gramma Kells."
