Colour photograph of Wendel's Bookstore and Café in Fort Langley. The photograph was taken from the southeast side of Mavis Avenue and looks across Glover Road towards the café. There is a girl in a yellow cardigan and a portion of another person visible in the left of the photograph in the foreground, and they are in front of what appears to be a blue sandwich board advertising Nestlé ice cream products. There are five cars visible in the photograph, including a white van, a brown station wagon, and three sedans. Wendel's is a beige building that is two storeys tall, with a covered patio wrapping around it. There are two signs, one on the side of the building and one above the front door, that both read "WENDEL'S BOOKS/ Fresh Food Café" in red, yellow, and green text. There is a window with red hearts in it on the left of the beige building; this photograph may have been taken around Valentine's Day. To the left of Wendel's, attached to it, is a green building with four windows trimmed in yellow called "Cindy's FASHION GALLERY." There is another brown building attached to that on the left with a small balcony on the second storey. On the left of that is a red-brown building half visible. There is one power pole in front of Wendel's with power lines extending north and south along Glover Road.
