Electrical transformer in wooden box; looks handmade; sloping roof; light grey/white paint mostly gone top and back; back has door with 3 rusty hinges and hook clasp. 2 large eye screws with ceramic inserts and 2 large wires with electrical tape and ceramic covers on one side of structure; 2 smaller wire mounts opposite side; wood split front and back; inside is transistor contraption; metal components slightly rusty; some wires unattached; reads: "August 1940" painted on inside. Found in the attic of Harmsworth Hall in 1978, and may have been used to power a timer for whist or a similar game at the Hall in the 1940s and onwards.
