Mowat, James, Jr.

James Mowat Jr. (Jim) was born on March 9, 1900, in Aberdeen, Scotland. He came to Canada with his mother in 1902. His father James Sr. had emigrated in the 1890s, and they met him in Fort Langley. James married Emma Booth Allin, and they had one daughter, Barbara. James died on November 1, 1986.

Mowat, James, Sr., 1866-1943

James Mowat Sr. was born on May 11, 1866. He married Christina, and they had children James (b. 1901), Maggie (b. 1903), Annie (b. 1905), George (b. 1909), and Charles (b. 1911). James came to Canada in the 1890s, and his wife and child, James Jr., joined him in 1902. James was a jack-of-all-trades, and had worked in farming and mining before having a family. He died May 6, 1943.
