The lower half of the page is separated from the upper by curved blue and white lines and the background is a pale cream yellow colour, with the text "2017 Annual / Volunteer Appreciation / & Awards evening" besides a stylized drawing of a lily. Unfolding the brochure, page 2 has white background at the top, with the text "This evening we recognize the following nominees:" besides another identical lily drawing, with two blue lines running behind the lily. The rest of the page is a pale cream yellow background behind text that lists the nominees for each of the three awards listed on the first page, with a small Canada 150 logo on the lower right side. Pages 3 and 4 (inside brochure) show the names and photos of all the nominees and below, cursive text reading, "Volunteers give without expecting anything in return, think of others first, and make the world a better place for all of us. Volunteers are the heart of our community." Page 5 (back of brochure) shows the photos and brief biographies of the people for whom the awards are named. Page 6 lists the event program, with the hosts being Jack Froese, Mayor, and Jamie Kusack, the Recreation, Culture, and Parks Committee Youth Member.
