The cover reads "Gage's 20th Century Series / New Elementary Grammar / Goggin / W.J. Gage & Co. Limited. / Toronto." There are spots of black ink across the cover. The spine reads "Elementary Grammar - Goggin." The back has the Gage logo in the middle. The title page reads "Gage's 20th Century Series / Elementary English Grammar for use in Canadian Schools / By D.J. Goggin, M.A., D.C.I. / Superintendent of Education in the North- West Territories, formerly Principal of the Manitoba Normal School. / W.J. Gage & Co. Limited / Toronto." On the inside cover of the book it reads "Margaret Walden" in pencil. It is 190 pages. It dates to 1901.

Beaton, Margaret

Margaret Grace (nee Walden) Beaton was born in 1891. She married Layton Brown, and later married William Beaton. She had one child, Mary Brown, from her first marriage. She died July 24, 1974 and was buried in Murrayville cemetery. Margaret and William Beaton were interviewed in 1973. Her interview can be found at SR-007.
