A brown leather bound book titled "The Langley Story." The book comes in a brown cardboard sleeve which has been catalogued within the museum as (a) while the book is (b). The book features the title in the top left in gold "The Langley Story / illustrated." Below is the Township of Langley's crest with the words "Nihil Sine Cerere." The author's name, "Donald E. Waite" is at the bottom. This is a collectible addition, stamped inside number 92 of 100 and signed by the author. The book contains black and white photos collected from Langley pioneers. It is copyright by Don Waite Publishing and printed by D. W. Friesen and Sons Limited, Altona, Manitoba in 1977.

Waite, Donald E.
Donald E. Waite, known as Don, was born in Renfrew, Ontario on 8 Nov. 1944 and raised on a dairy farm. Don Waite joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police at age 19 and was stationed in Burnaby, New Westminster, Maple Ridge, and Ottawa. In 1971, after being discharged from the RCMP, Don Waite opened two camera stores/portrait studios which he later sold. Along with being an entrepreneur, Mr. Waite has worked as a professional photographer and historian. He has written numerous books focusing on history in British Columbia, including The Langley Story which was completed in 1977. As of 2003, Don Waite is living in Maple Ridge, BC.
