Massey, Vincent
Vincent Massey was born on February 20, 1887 in Toronto, Ontario. He was the first Canadian-born Governor General of Canada. He held the post from 1952 to 1959. On November 19th, 1958 he officially opened the officer's quarters building at the Fort Langley National Historic Site, and he participated in the Douglas Day dinner that evening. Vincent Massey died December 30, 1967.
Poppy, David William, Jr.
David William Poppy was Mayor of the Township of Langley from 1967 - 1971, Reeve 1956 - 1967 and Councillor in 1944, 1946 - 1955.
