Presbyterian Manse, Murrayville.
Date
Jun. 1982.
Description
Presbyterian Manse, Murrayville.
People/Subject
Presbyterian Manse (Murrayville)
The house at 4822 216 Street was probably built for Mr. P. Mantach around 1906. Following the amalgamation of the Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregationalist churches in 1925 the house became the manse for the newly formed Murrayville Presbyterian congregation. It continued in this function until the 1950s. Murrayville's Five Corners' historic character is enhanced by the building's stylish full front verandah and gabled façade.
