Crompton, Amy
Amy was born in 1900. She is the youngest daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Fox) Crompton and sister to Frank and Charles Samuel Sr. In 1918, Amy went to South Vancouver High (John Oliver) where she graduated in 1918. The first school she taught in was the Demask Logging camp from 1919-1920. She went back to normal school in 1920-1921. Amy taught at the Dollarton School room in West Vancouver from 1920 to June, 1922. She married Sid Bishop, and they had one son Bob Bishop.
Crompton, Arthur F.
Arthur Crompton was born in approximately 1865. He married Elizabeth Fox, and they emigrated to Canada with their children in 1909 from Warrington, Lancashire, England. They settled in Victoria for a year and then moved the family to Vancouver. They bought acreage in West Langley on Telegraph Trail near the farming McClughan Family. Their children are Frank, Charles Samuel Sr., Dora and Amy. Arthur was a photographer and took pictures of several of the early buildings in the Port Kells area. He died at the age of 76 on April 29, 1941.

Dora Crompton is the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Fox Crompton.
Crompton, Elizabeth (Fox)
Elizabeth Fox was born on July 26, 1864 in England to parents Sarah (nee Taylor and William Fox). She married Arthur Crompton. Arthur and Elizabeth emigrated to Canada in 1909 from Warrington, Lancashire, England. They settled in Victoria for a year and then moved the family to Vancouver. They bought acreage in West Langley on Telegraph Trail near the farming McClughan Family. Their children are Frank, Charles Samuel Sr., Dora and Amy. Elizabeth died in 1961 at the age of 97.
Crompton, Frank
Frank Crompton was born July 7, 1888 at Warrington, Lancashire, England--the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Fox) Crompton. In 1909, he emigrated with his family to Canada. They settled in Victoria for a year and then moved to Vancouver where Frank worked at various jobs including the City of Vancouver. Frank's parents bought an acreage in West Langley on Telegraph Trail and Frank came out on weekends to help build a house. On January 10, 1917, Frank married Margaret Elizabeth (nee McClughan). They settled in the Cedar Cottage area of Vancouver. After the war, they moved to West Langley and commenced farming. Their children are Charles Samuel, William Frank (Bill), and Helen. In 1953, Margaret became ill and died. In 1958, Frank married Ivy McVicar, widow of Archie McVicar. Frank died August 29, 1984.
