Howes, Dempster W.
Dempster Wishart Howes was a south Aldergrove labourer before the First World War. He enlisted in the 231st Battalion in March 1916, and was transferred to the 72nd in France.
He was killed by machine gun fire as his battalion attacked German forces near the Canal du Nord in the battle for Cambrai, France, September 1918. Canadians in Khaki (Sommer). Term Source: HPC Record (HPC-348/1118)
