Description

Graduation certificate for Angus M. Plewes from Ontartio College of Pharmacy; it states Angus is registered as a member of the college and given the title of Pharmaceutical Chemist. Seal on top of document reads "Cura Atque Industria". Signed at bottom at dated June 6th 1906. Paper is stained and in wooden frame.

Plewes Drug Store

Established circa 1920 by Angus Plewes. It was managed by his wife Erla after Angus' sudden death in 1938. The store was later owned by Harold Brandow in 1945 and renamed Brandow's Drugstore. Harold's son, Murray followed in his father's footsteps and worked at the store after studying pharmacy at UBC. The store was closed in 1981.
