Fast, Alvin Peter
Alvin Peter Fast was born on January 26, 1917, in Saskatchewan, to Frank W. and Helena Fast, nee Neighbours. Al worked his way across the Prairies during the Depression and settled in Langley in 1941. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a wireless operator during World War II. He married a woman from Scotland who worked in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, and they moved back to Langley. They had three sons: Harry, Richard and Melvin.
