1 Dinner Plate : semi-porcelain ; 25 x 25 cm. This white dinner plate is made by Alfred Meakin, and has the Harmony Rose pattern. There is gold detail around the outside rim of the plate. There is a pink and green rose pattern around the circumference of the plate, and a cluster of pink roses with green leaves in the centre of the plate. There is a dark green stamp reading "BY/ Alfred Meakin/ England" on the bottom of the plate. Below that stamp is a light green stamp reading "'HARMONY'/ ROSE." There is a gold circle of laurel leaves with a crown and the words "ROYAL SEMI PORCELAIN" inside, which is partially overtop of the word "BY." There is a small light green mark in the shape of a stylized "Y," and one small gold dash on the bottom of the plate. Pieces in this series belonged to Dorothy (nee Wicken) and Russ Brown, or Dorothy's sister Edith Margaret Hawkins.
