Walter Reynolds Hall was born in 1871 in Staffordshire, England. It appears Hall came to Langley around 1913 and worked as a bee-keeper and farmer. The Hall farm was on Telegraph Trail near Fort Langley. Walter Reynolds Hall died September 14, 1961 in Nanaimo, B.C. He is buried in the Fort Langley cemetery beside Mary Hall (1868-1957).

Pratt, George H.
Reid, Charles
Charles Reid was born on April 24, 1888 in Scotland. He emigrated to Canada in 1908. Two years later he settled in Fort Langley and opened his own blacksmith shop. Later, he became one of the first machinist shop operators in the area. He served on the Langley Council during the mid-thirties and early 1940's and was a member of several municipal advisory committees in the early days. Charles was the first chief of the Fort Langley Volunteer Fire Department, a charter member of the Fort Langley Community Improvement Association and an early member of Trade. Charles also served overseas during WWII for four years with the Canadian Army Engineers. He married a pioneer Fort Langley girl, Olive Carter, and raised a family of three children, including son Don and daughter Helen Gardner (husband Bill). He was in the business for 60 years; he saw it change from horse shoeing and wagon repairs to motor mechanics and heavy equipment repairs. Charles Reid died on May 20, 1975.
