Dominion Day
Dominion Day was the original name of Canada Day. Celebrating July 1, 1867 (the British North American Act, today called the Constitution Act), which united three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire. The name was changed to Canada Day in 1982, the year the Canada Act was passed.
