A hardcover book titled "Our Bit." It has a blue cover with gold font reading "Our Bit / Memories of War Service by a Canadian Nursing Sister. " Below the title is the emblem of the Canadian Medical Corps, laurel leaves surrounding a caduceus with serpent above a banner reading "Canadian Medical Corps." This book belonged to Nurse K. E. Gray (Ethel Gray, RN), who married Dr. L. E. Borden.

Borden, Katherine Ethel (nee Gray)

Katherine Ethelwynne Borden (nee Gray) was born in Brierwood, Manitoba on May 19th 1892. In 1917 at the age of 24 she enlisted as a nurse in WW1, and served in England and France. She achieved the rank of Lieutenant. She continued to work as a nurse. Later in life she married Dr. Lorris Elijah Borden (1866-1963). She moved with her husband to the Langley area after the WW2. Katherine died in Victoria in 1975.
