Description
The fonds consists of the correspondence of the Thorndale Hatchery, predominantly between 1941 and 1949, including letters of appreciation, advertising proposals, lists of breeders supplying the hatchery, and breeding schedules and records, as well as a 1945 letter transfering ownership of the Queen Hatchery, A. Woodgate, Manager, to J.H. Mufford, and a 1945 40th Anniversary letter with the history of the hatchery. Fonds also includes the Minutes of the Seventeenth Annual Convention of the Canadian Federation of Hatchery Associations, western Section, held in Winnipeg, Man., September 21-24, 1954, and minutes of the monthly meetings of the B.C. Baby Chick Co-operative Association, held in Cloverdale, B.C., for October and November, 1950.
