Mowat, James, Sr., 1866-1943
James Mowat Sr. was born on May 11, 1866. He married Christina, and they had children James (b. 1901), Maggie (b. 1903), Annie (b. 1905), George (b. 1909), and Charles (b. 1911). James came to Canada in the 1890s, and his wife and child, James Jr., joined him in 1902. James was a jack-of-all-trades, and had worked in farming and mining before having a family. He died May 6, 1943.
