1 black and white photograph of Gladys Hathaway (nee Baldwin) (left), A. M. Cronkhite, and Eunice Cronkhite in the Christmas of 1942 ; image shows them standing in front of the Cronkhite house. The image has a white frame and writing in black ink: on the left side it reads "Gladys", on the top "Daddy", on the right side "Eunice", and on the bottom " Christmas 1942". Gladys was a "problem child" that child welfare convinced Mr. A. M. Cronkhite, Marshall Cronkhite's father, to take on. She moved in with the Cronkhite family at the age of twelve, and provided help and company to Mrs. Cronkhite while Mr. Cronkhite was boarding in Vancouver. She eventually graduated from school as a nurse.

Cronkhite, Abram Marshall

Abram Marshall Cronkhite (1881-1958). Abram Cronkhite was born in 1881, in New Brunswick. Cronkhite married Agnes Macdonald, and together they had three children: John Morrison, Flora Eunice (married name Ellis), and Marshall Abram Cronkhite. Mr. & Mrs. Cronkhite come from a background of "United Empire Loyalist" stock. Mr. Cronkhite owned a farm in Aldergrove. He died in 1958, in Aldergrove.

Cronkhite, Flora Eunice

Flora Eunice Cronkhite was born in Aldergrove and was the daughter of Abram Marshall Cronkhite and Agnes Cronkhite (née Macdonald). She attended Langley High School. Flora Eunice seems to have gone by her middle name, Eunice, and her married name was Ellis. She was the sister of John Morrison and Marshall Abram Cronkhite. She became a school teacher, and taught at Aldergrove Elementary School in the 1950s.
