Copeland, W. Ronald
Walter R. (Rolly) Copeland was a relative of the Arnolds (of Arnold and Beck). Copeland came to Langley in 1913 and purchased a farm in the Fern Ridge area. He served in WWI shortly after. When he returned from Europe, he moved to Langley Prairie. He was a meat cutter, and worked at the Fuller Meat Market between 1929 and 1939. Caretaker of the Masonic Hall. One of the charter members of the first Royal Canadian Legion Langley branch in 1926. Walter Rowland Copeland died in Murrayville November 27, 1978 at the age of 92.
