Margaret Mildred (or Mildred Margaret) English was born on July 12, 1896 in Ontario to Joseph English and ?. She seems to have often gone by the nickname "Milly." She moved to Fort Langley with her family between 1921 and 1923, and married Thomas Ushaw on April 19, 1924. They had three children : Marjorie May Waska, Shirley Halliday and Leonard. She was an active member of the Fort Langley Women's Auxiliary and the Old Age Pensioners' Organization. Mrs. Ushaw died on April 23, 1979.
