Photograph : b&w ; of the Alexander Beaton homestead, on Otter Road, built in 1888. The photo includes Mr. and Mrs. Alex Beaton Sr. and Margaret Anne Beaton, who married Fred Watt. The house stood until 1976.

Beaton, Alexander
Alexander Beaton was born in1838 in Glenelg, Scotland. He married Annie (nee McCrimmon), and is the father of Archibald, John, Donald (Don), Angus and Kenneth Beaton.
He is the brother of Neil Beaton, a Matsqui pioneer of another branch of the Beaton family. Alexander died Sept. 1, 1908.
