The traditional territory of the q̓ic̓əy̓, Katzie First Nation expands across what is now known as Pitt Lake, Sheridan Hill, Port Hammand, Point Roberts, and Point Grey. Members of this Nation reside primarily in Pitt Meadows and Langley. The traditional language is the downriver dialect of halq'eméylem known as hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓. Historically, sometimes referred to as the Nicomekl First Nations.
