Title
Langley Theatre on Fraser Highway.
Date
[194-?].
Description
The Langley Theatre on Fraser Highway. Mr. Knowles was the manager and projectionist, and Peter Barnes of Texas owned the theatre and the Texas Hotel on the same street.
People/Subject
Barnes, Peter
Peter Barnes, from Texas, owned the Langley Theatre and the Texas Hotel, both on Fraser Highway. His sister (Mrs. Gavin?) would look after the properties when he was out of town. He might have been out of town quite often, because he instigated a photo night at the theatre where they played special films, and put on a Vaudeville act that he franchised across Canada.
