Brown, Lavinia
Lavinia Evelyn Medd was born in Langley on July 11, 1899, the youngest daughter of Annie (nee Holding) and William Medd. She later worked as a hairdresser, and worked in a store on Fraser about where the Masonic Hall is now. She married Langley Prairie Barber Sam Brown in 1933. Lavinia was a rose gardener and kept finches in an aviary. Lavinia died in 1988.
