Smith Residence (Second John Smith Residence)
John Smith was one of the earliest pioneers on what was once the Hudson's Bay Co. Farm. He purchased a quarter section of the Farm, and his original house, built circa 1885, was located here. When this larger house was built in 1911, the first house was moved across the road. This unusually large and elaborate house features an intersecting cross gable roof and a wrap around verandah, with projecting bays on the ground floor. In 1995, the house still remained in the Smith family.
