Black and white photo of Richard and Mary Simpson and some friends, including Minnie Wentzel, Marian Duff, and others who are unidentified. Richard Simpson was the Agent at the CN station in Fort Langley.

Simpson, Mary Josephine (nee Thompson)
Mary Josephine Simpson (nee Thompson) was born in about 1871 in Ontario. She married Richard Charles Simpson, who worked for the CN Railway, and came to Fort Langley in 1918. Mary died in July 1950, and is buried in the Fort Langley Cemetery. She left her property to Rod Hawkins, who helped her around the house and looked after her in the years after her husband passed.

Simpson, Richard Charles
Richard Charles Simpson was born in about 1865. As a young man he entered the service of the Grand Trunk Railway, and in 1902 was employed by the Canadian National Railway, first in Manitoba, and then in Fort Langley in 1918. He was the agent at Fort Langley's CN station until he retired in 1929. He married Mary Josephine Thompson. Richard died in March, 1932.
