Built in the 1920's
This house was owned by Harry or F.W. Bullock in the 1920's. Bullock had served overseas during the FIrst World War with the 72nd Battalion, the Seaforth Highlanders. His descendants live in Parksville. The house was subsequently owned by the Bakers, who raised diary, or beef cattle. It was sold to Jack and Yisa McPeeke in the 1960's. During the Bullock's tenure in the late 1930's, the house contained a confectionery store, and two gas pumps provided fuel to motor car ownders in the area. The pumps were manned by the Bullocks' sons, once of whom was called Jack.
