Description
Hallack House at 21488 76th Avenue, later "Lindsay's Appaloosas."
People/Subject
Hallack House
The house at 21488 76th Ave. in Willoughby is known as the Hallack House. The house was originally built ca. 1900-1915, and was moved to this property (later Lindsay's Appaloosas" and later "Jessoma Farms") from the south side of 76th Ave. It may have been located on the Morrison property (one of the earlier pre-emptions in Willoughby). The house is thought to have been owned by the Roy Hallack family at one time. The last owners before it was moved were probably the Crow family. The property on which the house now stands was first owned by Brazille Brousseau, a former Hudson's Bay Co. dairyman. The house appears to have had some renovations at some point between 1982 and 1998.
