Landscape oriented drawn postcard depicting the R.M.S. Virginian. The boat Ellen Jane Parry-Evans (nee Bland) travelled on to North America.
The boat is in a brown frame in the center of the card with a blue and yellow sky above a dark blue rough ocean as the background within this frame. Outside of the frame there is a yellow background along the top, ocean waves along the bottom and many flags. On either side of the boat image there are large flags: left British ensign flag Blue with the standard flag in the corner a crest in the center, right standard British flag. Above the image of the boat there is the French flag with the words "Allan Line" to the left of the flag and "to Canada" to the right. Below the image of the boat there is a series of flags that appear to be as follows; Canadian colony flag, ___, English Flag, ___, Japanese Flag, English Flag, ___, Japanese Flag, ___, English Flag, Irish Flag, British Royal Navy Flag. Beneath the frame that the boat is in there is an inscription that reads, "R.M.S. 'VIRGINIAN'".
