The best man was Keith McIntyre. The bride's dress is pink, and the veil is rose (both objects are in the collection: 2005.043.001 and 2005.043.002).

Barton, Gertrude (nee Ozanne)

Gertrude Nellie Barton (nee Ozanne) married Henry Santos (Bart) Barton on December 23, 1940 at St. Helen's Anglican Church in Vancouver. She was a war time bride as her new husband had to quickly return to his regiment in Windsor, Ontario. Later she worked as an accountant for a plumbing store and he worked for the post office. The couple lived in Port Kells before moving to Langley (Brookswood). Gertrude died in 2001.

Barton, Henry

Henry Barton married Gertrude Ozanne on December 23, 1940. During the war he was a gunner with the 16th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery, R.C.A., C.A.S.F. He later worked at the post office. They moved to Langley (Brookswood) from Port Kells ca. 1970. Henry died in 1991.
