Description

Image depicts Effie (former girlfriend of Len Rowlatt) sitting for a portrait in a rough chair made of logs in front of what appears to be a painted backdrop. The back drop depicts a curving beach with a mountain range behind it. Effie is in a dark skirt and white blouse with her dark hair in an up-do with a white headband. There is a slim white/grey border around the photo.

Postcard has correspondence inscription, it reads: "Miss Rowlatt, with Love Effie". Also inscription in ink.

Ellie's last name is presently unknown to the cataloger (dhv). She was Len Rowlatt's girlfriend in England, but said no to his marriage proposal in 1913.
