Cross and Norman Service Station (Imperial)
The Imperial Esso Service Station, owned by Ben Cross and Bob Norman, had it's grand opening on Saturday, October 4th, 1958. It was located at 20112 Trans-Canada Highway in Langley. In 1961, it was designated as a VW Service Station and was renamed in 1964, Cross & Norman Ltd. It was the first VW franchise in the Fraser Valley. The business was relocated to 20027 Fraser Highway in the 1960's, where it had one car showroom and a two bay service center. Bob Norman became the sole proprietor in the 1979 when Ben Cross retired. At this time a four car showroom and a dedicated service repair center was constructed. The business was renamed again in 2001 to Langley Volkswagen.
