The City of Langley, B.C., covering the Langley Prairie region, was incorporated in 1955.
Langley City Hall
City Hall was built on the site of the Timms house after it was torn down in 1956. It opened for business on April 13, 1957. The final meeting in the old hall took place on April 12, 1999 It was rebuilt on the same site on Topping Road (204th Street), and a new branch of the Fraser Valley Regional Library was included. The offical opening of the new building was on August 25, 2000.
