Anderson Elementary School
Named after the Anderson family. The local history of the Anderson family began with Jim (James Alexander) Anderson's arrival in Langley in 1920. Built in ca. 1959, the school sits on part of a five-acre parcel of land behind the original Anderson farm. The school started out with two classrooms. More classrooms, a covered play area, a library, a gymnasium, washrooms, storage areas and a new well were added throughout the 1960's and 70's. The school closed in the 1990s.
