William G. Duckworth was born in Burnaby, B.C. on November 22, 1932. He was an alderman for the city of Langley for 4 years and Mayor of the city from 1974 - 1978. he was past president of the Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Jaycees, and served as a chief magistrate for 3 terms. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church. He has three children.
