Wix, Montague Capon Victor
Montague "Monty" Capon Victor Wix was born in London, England on November 6, 1897. He and his family (including his father, David Wix) moved to Fernridge where they had a farm. He enlisted in the 72nd Seaforth Highlanders of Canada in September 1915. Soon after arriving in France, he was kill by a trench mortar at Hill 60 (south of Ypres) on June 18, 1916, while serving with the 16th Battalion. Source: Canadians in Khaki. Warren Sommer.
