Mr. Eaton earned his living by using his team to mow hay, pull stumps, and so forth. He kept a dairy cow on the 10 acre parcel that accompanied the house. The house was subsequently purchased by Stan Johnson who operated a chicken farm on the site. He also candled and graded other farmers' eggs and shipped them to Vancouver.
