Papers of the Fort Langley Community Improvement Society. Includes a copy of the Societies Act declaration (a) and the By-Laws (b) of the Fort Langley Community Improvement Society, both stamped and dated 9 Dec. 1924 and signed by several witnesses; a receipt (c) from the government of British Columbia for the Fort Langley Community Improvement Association's fees on Dec. 9 1924; a memorandum (d) from the government to the FLCI Society dated 1924; a letter (e) to the government of BC from secretary George F. Young, stamped and dated 4 October 1951; a proclamation (f) of the FLCI Society being restored to the Societies Act register dated 24 April 1951; and a memorandum (g) sent from the government to the FLCI Society on 24 April 1951.

Young, George F.
George Fatheringham Young was a Fort Langley notary and the secretary of the Fort Langley Community Improvement Association. It is because of him that the "blue board" remains on the front of the Fort Langley Community Hall. He died in Murrayville on December 15, 1965, at the age of 74.
