Black and white photograph of the property of The Grange. There are fences running through the property that are wire with wooden fence posts. Trees are in the middle ground and background of the photograph, and the rest is grass.
The photos in this accession were found in an antique mall; "The Grange" refers to a Fort Langley farm on the Salmon River.

Mackie House (The Grange)

The James W. Mackie House was built between 1870 and 1880. This first house burnt down soon after, after Ann Mackie lit a fire in the fireplace with an overheated stovepipe and burnt down the house. The property of the Mackie house was also known as "The Grange," and it was on the Salmon River, on the west side of Glover Road coming up into the village of Fort Langley.
