Oval coiled cedar basket made by Mary from a First Nation community in North Vancouver.
The basket is decorated with red and black imbrication. The pattern is a vertical diamond zig-zag on most of the body of the basket; black and red alternate. The base has one row of coiled black imbrication around the circumference.
The basket had two coiled cedar handles attached near the rim with leather straps. There is a decorative braid on the rim of the basket over the coil.
