Description

A program for a production of "The Sound of Music" put on by the D.W. Poppy Secondary School. The program as a picture of a green field with a snow-capped mountain in the background, and a blue sky above. The title "The/ SOUND/ of MUSIC" is printed in yellow over the sky, with "The Poppy Players Proudly Present" in smaller, white text above, with writing credits below. D. W. Poppy is located at 23752 52 Avenue. The school began in 1973, with students on shift at Langley Secondary for the first year. By 1982 D. W. Poppy went up to Grade 12. Poppy's catchment area is wide, running from the US border to north of Highway 1. Poppy is named after David William Poppy Senior and David William (Bill) Poppy Junior.
