Spilsbury, Edwin Henry
Edwin Henry Spilsbury was born in Worcestershire, England in 1889. He came to Canada in 1907 and spent the next 25 years working a farm in Saskatchewan. There he married Alice Louise and raised three children, Tom, Leslie and Ethel. They moved to Langley in the 1930s to Coghlan Road where he cleared a 25 acre stump ranch and built a dairy farm. Tom and Leslie would both serve in the war, Tom in the navy and Leslie in the R.C.A.F. Edwin sold the farm in 1956 and moved to a small hobby farm on Brown Road where he grew fruit. Alice passed away in 1974 and Edwin moved to the Langley Lodge. He passed away there Jan 19th 1985.
