FJ Hart Building/ BC Telephone Company Exchange
This building was built ca. 1910 by F. J. Hart & Co. Ltd. for use as the Bank of Toronto and offices for the Western Home and Improvement Co. Ltd. and F. J. Hart & Co. Ltd. In 1914 it was sold to the B.C. Telephone Company, which operated an exchange here until 1952. Early on, the operators lived on the premises. This structure was moved to 3190 271 Street, Aldergrove, in 1992 and became the Alder Grove Heritage Society's Telephone Museum. It is now (2023) known as the Aldergrove Community Museum and Archives.
