McLellan, Donald Angus

Donald Angus McLellan was born in 1898 and died in 1978. He married Mary Elizabeth Grieve in 1930. He was the son of John Frederick McLellan.

McLellan, John Frederick

John Frederick McLellan was born in Scotsvile, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 1858. John travelled across North America via the Pacific Railway from Nova Scotia to San Francisco, and then by boat to Victoria. He travelled with 2 brothers: Alexander John McLellan and John McLellan (known as Jack). In 1884, Jack was injured and left railway work to begin farming, and John joined him. He married a woman named Mary Ann, who was born in the same town in 1858, and died in 1928. John died in 1940.
