Joseph (Joe) Harding married Lily (Scott) Harding, and they had two children: Hazel (b. 1921, married name Harrower) and Bernie (b. 1914). They moved from La Fleche Saskatchewan to Langley in 1937 due to the Depression. Joseph had been trained as a ship's plumber in England but he farmed wheat in Saskatchewan and began a small dairy farm on Winchester Road in Langley. He met Lily Scott in 1912 when her family came, and they were married in 1914. Joe died in 1965 of a heart attack.
