People/Subject
Sellers House (George Sellers Residence)
The George Sellers Residence is located at 22822 88th Ave. in Fort Langley. This Craftsman bungalow was built for George Edward Sellers and his family on an 18 acre parcel that was subdivided in 1911. The property had a capiliary pump which gave the house the luxury of indoor plumbing. Sellers was a sailing enthusiast and sailed on the nearby Salmon River. He was killed overseas during WWI in 1918, and his wife died of the Influenza two years later. The house was later purchased by Mr. & Mrs. Donald Morrison, who lived there until the 1940s. The house has been altered many times, but retains much of its original character.
