On the inside cover the book has a place for students to fill in their information. This one reads "Alfred Pepin", and "Division II P" and it is dated to Feb 1st 1922. The title page reads, "A First Primer Based on the Phonic System" and "Authorized by the Department of Education for use in the Public Schools of British Columbia." Below that is a drawing for a small child eating from a bowl with a spoon. At the bottom the title page reads, "W.J. Gage & Company, Limited. Toronto." The book contains drawings and black and white photographs.
